·  What is exonumia?

Exonumia is a broad category of non-money, non-legal tender numismatic items, including tokens and unofficial medals and badges. It comes from the prefix exo, meaning outside of, and numia from the word numismatic. I am personally more of a vecturist, but also have a number of other tokens such as Hard Times Tokens, arcade, car wash, etc.

·  What is a vecturist?

Someone who collects transportation tokens.

·  Do you clean transit tokens?

Personally, I do not. Though, some people do. If you do decide to clean your tokens, use great care. I'd recommend using just soap and water - particularly if you decide to clean a vulcanite, or celluloid token.
